Facilities & Safety

Bonnievale Kennels maintains the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. Our facilities feature secure, well-ventilated kennels with both indoor and outdoor sections. The cattery is located separately from kennels to ensure cats remain calm and stress-free. Our on-site staff provides 24/7 supervision, and the property is fully fenced with secure access control.

We follow strict sanitation protocols with daily cleaning of all kennels and cattery units. Common areas are disinfected frequently. We require up-to-date vaccinations from all boarders to minimise disease risk and ensure the health of every pet in our care.

In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, we immediately contact you and transport your pet to one of our partnered local veterinarians. Our staff is trained to recognise signs of distress or illness. We maintain detailed records of each pet's medical history and emergency contact information. Any veterinary costs incurred are the client's responsibility.

Pet Care & Requirements

For dogs: Current 5-in-1 (DHPP), Rabies, and Kennel Cough vaccinations are mandatory. For cats: FVRCP (Feline Distemper) and Rabies vaccinations are required. Proof of vaccination must be provided at check-in. Vaccinations must be administered at least 10 days before boarding.

We provide food for all pets as part of the boarding rate. If your pet has specific dietary needs or a sensitive stomach, you're welcome to bring their regular food along. Blankets, toys, and comfort items from home are also welcome. Please label all items with your pet's name. We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged personal items, so avoid bringing items of high sentimental value.

Yes, we cater to special diets, allergies, and medical requirements. Our staff can administer medications (oral and topical) at no extra charge. For complex medical needs or insulin-dependent pets, please discuss requirements during booking so we can ensure proper care.

All dogs receive multiple daily exercise sessions in our spacious outdoor runs. Socialisation with other dogs is available upon request and subject to temperament assessment. If your dog prefers solo play, we accommodate that too. We match playgroups by size and energy level for safe, enjoyable interaction.
